First on our Tour, we will take buses to historic Mount Vernon

Charter busses depart at 4:30 sharp from DC with the first dinner service at Mt. Vernon scheduled for 5:15pm.

  • Enter the lantern-lit Historic Area and see the vast stretch of the Bowling Green washed in ambient holiday illumination.
  • See George Washington’s Mansion lit in beautiful amber light as you hear classic holiday music and patriotic quotes. View the upper garden and greenhouse aglow in blue and lavender lights and watch as wintery light patterns move throughout the space.
  • During the event, you can:
    • Chat with soldiers at an 18th-century winter encampment.
    • See sparks fly at the Blacksmith shop.
    • Listen to costumed Christmas carolers and 18th-century music & entertainment.
    • Meet our holiday guest, Aladdin the Camel.
    • Wind through a straw bale maze, lit up with Christmas lights for kids
    • Shop for artisan-made goods crafted using 18th-century techniques.
    • Purchase warm food and holiday drinks from the Mount Vernon Inn Food Truck.
    • Pick up a holiday craft kit for your family on the Bowling Green.
    • Shop for holiday gifts at The Shops at Mount Vernon (open until 8:45 p.m. on Winter Glow nights).
    • Unfortunately, the interior of the Mansion is closed during Winter Glow.

After the Mt. Vernon rendezvous the busses will take guests on a tour of the Bull Run Christmas light show as well as other monuments in DC before ending back at the drop off location between 11-12 Midnight.
